La Canada Golf - Cadiz

Settled in the hills just north of the N340 close to Sotogrande in the cadiz part of the Costa del Sol, La Cañada is a municipal golf course that opened in 1982 especially for the people of near-by City Guadiaro. Now La Canada is a full 18 holes golf course.

The village Guadiaro is regarded as the city where golf fever among the local Spanish citizens is highest in Spain. At this course the local kids get ample opportunity to experience the game of golf and to improve their skills.

Do not underestimate this golf course! La Canada Golf is a pleasant challenge, the views are great, the nature is wonderful and the greens were in top shape at the time of our visit.

La Cañada Golf was designed by Robert Trent Jones, who showed sincere appreciation for the project by not charging the municipal for the design. The new clubhouse, in Valderrama/San Roque style, opened in 2002.
